1.  What fees and charges apply to accounts?

   Each account is designed to meet different needs and fees and charges are different for each account. Choose an account that suits how you plan to use it to minimise your fees. Our comparison table will provide you with more details.
   
   The first step is to choose the right account for you:

2.  What is ATM Direct Charging?

   When you use an ATM that doesn’t belong to your financial institution, you’ll see an ATM direct charge. The amount will appear on the screen before you confirm your transaction. You can choose to proceed or cancel your transaction if you wish.

3.  How can I avoid paying a monthly account service fee?

   If you have a Complete Freedom Account, you’ll pay no account service fee if, by the last business day of the month, you either deposit a minimum of $2,000 or have your St.George home loan repayment automatically deducted from your account. If you’re a Student or Apprentice or over 55 and retired or in receipt of a pension you can also benefit from an account with no monthly service fee.
   
   If you have a Express Freedom Account, you’ll pay no account service fee if, by the last business day of the month, you either deposit a minimum of $1,000.
   
   If you’re a Student or Apprentice or over 55 and retired or in receipt of a pension you can also benefit from an account with no monthly service fee.

   If you choose to package your bank account, home loan and credit card with Advantage Package, you can also avoid paying monthly account service fees.

4.  Will I be charged for doing transactions at a branch?

   Many of our everyday bank accounts have free branch transactions included in the monthly fee free allowance. Check your account details to confirm what transactions are included fee free.

5.  Can bank fees overdraw my account?

   Yes, bank fees can overdraw your account. Please see your account terms and conditions for further information.

6.  I have an account that isn’t on your website. Where can I get information on fees and charges for my account?

   From time to time we review our accounts and may make a decision not to offer them to new customers. You can see the Terms and Conditions and Fees and Charges for all accounts no longer offered for sale.

7.  Where can I find information on the Fees & Charges on the Portfolio Cash Management Account? I have had this account for many years, but I can’t find it on your website.
